We have completed our 3rd Adventure Challenge! These activities have been a lot of fun, so we just had to knock off another challenge from our book. I think it’s fun doing activities that you wouldn’t think of doing. We always come up with fun ideas as we have a lot of interests, but it’s a little exciting to do choose out a mystery challenge out of the day. It makes the day a little more exciting, since we aren’t sure what t expect.
For our challenge, we went to Lexington Reservoir, where we had a candlelight picnic. We had Turkey Sandwiches, chips and sodas for drinks. We had a wonderful day outside as it truly was a beautiful day. We had clear blue skies and cool temperatures. We sat on our picnic blanket for several hours chatting away about dreams and wishes we both had. As part of the Adventure Challenge we were also to answer two specific question. These two questions were definitely answered, but these questions lead to 100 more, which was nice. We always enjoy thinking back on our past and seeing how much has changed over our years of life. In case you are curious about the two questions we were asked, don’t worry! I took notes so I wouldn’t forget.
If you could have any job in the world what would it be and why?
“If I could have any job in the world, I would become a professional athlete. Getting paid to play a game is pretty awesome. Getting paid in generational wealth for your grand kids’ grand kids is even better. I wish I could’ve done something like that growing up. All I can do now is use myself as an example for people to go and chase their dreams and not let them slip away. Guys at my age are retiring from professional sports. I am a sports coach now, passing down my knowledge and skills to help the kids of today become the athletes of tomorrow.” – Adrian Luna
“If I could have any job in the world, I would become a professional singer. Ever since I can remember I had the passion to sing. In church I would sing with the youth choir and I would never fail to put in a request to sing for the church. In the 6th grade I began taking singing lessons and I even joined a school Choir for the first time. I remember having the best time dancing on stage and singing. It didn’t matter to me if I could sing well or not. I sang because it made me happy. The most memorable part being on stage for me is getting people from the audience to sing along with me. No matter what mood I’m in, singing always has a way of bringing me joy.” – Elizabeth Luna
“What’s one hobby which you have never done that you have always wanted to start?”
“I would love to pilot a boat. I would love to get a boating license and go deep sea fishing or magnet fishing. If I had a boat and a license to operate one I’d take my you boating with me every weekend. On the news recently a Grandpa and Grandson went magnet fishing in a reservoir and pulled up two Barrett .50 cal sniper rifles. Both of them were sealed and many think they were stashed. I’d love to go magnet fishing off a boat and see what we can pull up.” – Adrian Luna
“I would say I would love to do the same thing. Sailing a boat is something I have always wanted to do. Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to do it, since I don’t own a boat and never really thought of getting a license to rent one. I love being near the ocean and I love marine animals, so it’s been a dream of mine to go sailing along the coast in a private boat. I’d love the see Dolphins, whales and other sea creatures.” – Elizabeth Luna
